Follow the process mentioned below to fix

  1. Uninstall Management Tool Security (From add/remove programs)
  2. Browse to D:\RMNetwork\RMManage\Management Tool Security and rename the Management Tool Security folder.
  3. Go into Regedit. Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Research Machines\Network Management\Security and rename the "Security" folder.
  4. Install Management Tool Security (using the msi D:\RMNetwork\Server\Tools\ Management Tool Security\ version)
  5. Install Management Tool Security Configuration (using the msi D:\RMNetwork\Server\Tools\ Management Tool Security Configuration\ version)
  6. Make a copy of CC3 to CC4 Upgrade.ini and RM Installation Assistant.ini
  7. From the CC3 to CC4 Upgrade.ini, under section "[Actions]" delete all the entries above RM Type Manager CC3-CC4 Upgrade ( the entry before it, will be Management Tool Security Configuration). Do not delete [Actions] entry. Save the file
  8. From the RM Installation Assistant.ini, Delete all the entries under [ForceUninstall]. Do not delete [ForceUninstall] entry. Save the file
  9. Re-run CC3-CC4 upgrade installation
